Thank you for your interest in joining the Readium Foundation! To join the Readium Foundation, please fill out the membership application below 

Readium Foundation is a non-profit membership association, open to all. You dues support the mission of the Foundation to develop commercial-grade open source software that advances an open interoperable ecosystem for the creation and distribution of digital content in order to foster innovation, accessibility, and a global sharing of knowledge. Members are also entitled to participate in the governance of the Foundation, including electing the Board of Directors and approving matters put to votes of the membership.

Member dues are calculated by the revenue of our member companies according to the fee structure here. First year dues are payable at time of application. Subsequent annual dues will be billed on a rolling annual basis on the month that you joined the organization. Payment can be made online by credit card, by check, or by bank transfer


Upon submission, the primary representative will receive an email acknowledgement of the pending application. When processed (usually within 2 business days), you will receive an email invoice and be listed on our website as a member.

Readium Foundation Member Benefits

  • Right to attend Readium Foundation meetings and conferences at no cost or discounted member rates. 
  • Right to vote on prospective open source projects and other undertakings of the Readium Foundation that may be submitted to the membership for approval.
  • Right to lead or participate in Readium Foundation open source projects
  • Right to run and serve on the Readium Foundation Board of Directors
  • Right to vote in Readium Foundation Board of Director elections


By clicking "I agree" below, the applicant, or applicant's duly authorized representative, acknowledges and agrees that, when accepted by Readium Foundation, this application represents a binding contract between the parties and commits the applicant to (i) payment of applicable initial membership fee and, so long as continued membership is desired after the initial year of membership, subsequent annual membership dues or fees as determined from time to time by the Board of Directors and (ii) comply with all the terms and conditions of Readium Foundation’s Certificate of Incorporation and Bylaws as published at and such rules and policies as the Board of Directors may from time to time adopt.

Readium Foundation may elect to avail itself of certain protections offered by the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 1993, as amended, which requires disclosure of the names of all members of Readium Foundation. Accordingly, the undersigned hereby appoints such person who shall be the President or Chairperson or acting President or Chairperson of Readium Foundation as the undersigned's true and lawful attorneyinfact and authorizes him or her to (1) notify government agencies of the undersigned's membership in Readium Foundation, (2) make, approve the form of, execute and deliver filings with government agencies on behalf of Readium Foundation and on behalf of the undersigned as a member of Readium Foundation indicating such membership, (3) receive notifications, including without limitation, notifications pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and Production Act on behalf of Readium Foundation and on behalf of the undersigned as a member of Readium Foundation, and (4) authorize and direct other officers of, and/or counsel to Readium Foundation, to do any of the foregoing acts. Readium Foundation will forward to the undersigned any notifications that it receives which are other than normal confirmations of filings and other administrative notices relating to all members.
